Kim Blanck is a Drama Desk Award–winning actor who is currently covering the roles of Ella and Maps in Emily Feldman's THE BEST WE COULD at Manhattan Theatre Club.
She lives and works in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.

It’s been a joyful and incredibly rewarding couple years coaching public speaking to some awesome women in the tech industry, so I’m pumped to introduce what felt like “something I do on the side [don’t tell anyone] (remix)” visibly and proudly into the world!

It feels amazing to translate what I’m practiced at doing as an actor to non-performers who are yearning to find confidence, pleasure, and ease in their high-stakes work environments. (It’s the San Francisco Bay Area, after all!) Sometimes it feels like all we do as actors is Try to Memorize Stuff Fast, and I often forget that there is so much art and heart in what we do, and not only that, people in other industries can learn some pretty major things from us artsy ppl sharing our creative skill sets (plus, we get that high-stakes shit).

To that end, if you know of anyone who’s hungry to step into a new level of leadership, point them in my direction!

SCENE STUDY FOR MUSICAL THEATER ACTORS

This class is for musical theater actors who are eager to approach audition sides with dexterity, muscularity, and assurance. We'll work with scenes only –– no songs –– and Kim will assign material or actors may bring in their own. The goal of the class is to empower singing actors with the tools with which they can tackle audition texts swiftly and proficiently, so that they will enter their auditions just as confident in performing their sides as they are their songs.
