Kim Blanck’s short film Gloria made its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival and in 2026 screened at Brooklyn Academy of Music. It won both the Narrative Short Jury Award and the 2025 Audience Award at the Austin Asian American Film Festival, plus Best Short Film and Best Director at the 2026 Oakland Short Film Festival. It is currently screening at festivals nationwide.
Shot on 16mm and starring Emily Kuroda of “Gilmore Girls,” Gloria is about dementia, community, and one Chinese woman’s enduring love of learning.
